Community Stories

A builder-centric editorial pattern inspired by the founder and community storytelling style of Polar.sh.

Use this pattern when your content surface needs to highlight makers, ecosystem stories, partnerships, and product momentum without feeling too corporate.

Best for

  • product launch posts;
  • ecosystem and partnership updates;
  • founder, builder, or community stories; and
  • teams that want a lightweight editorial surface with room for personality.

Install

Start with these building blocks:

  • a personality-led hero with room for voice;
  • flexible story cards for interviews, updates, and product notes;
  • author or contributor emphasis;
  • lightweight related story sections; and
  • simple category or tag navigation for discovery.

The CMS model should at minimum provide:

  • title;
  • slug;
  • excerpt;
  • publish date;
  • author or contributor reference;
  • optional cover image;
  • rich content body; and
  • optional tags, series, or partner references.

Usage

Use Community Stories when you want the product to show up through people, builders, or ecosystem momentum rather than through polished launch framing alone. It should feel approachable, flexible, and slightly more human than a conventional release blog.

Inspiration

This pattern is influenced by the builder-first editorial energy associated with Polar.sh, but the component naming stays generic so it can live comfortably inside your own design system.
